I’m a native Montanan that came to Bozeman fourteen years ago to study accounting at Montana State University. I enjoyed my time in Bozeman so much that I decided to stay here upon graduation with my Masters in 2011. Throughout my time in Bozeman, I’ve been very active volunteering in the Bozeman community through Bozeman Rotaract, Bozeman Babe Ruth Baseball, Bozeman Legion Baseball, Leadership Bozeman, Madison Valley Bank Advisory Board and various other sporadic non-profit events. In my downtime, I enjoy golfing, coaching baseball, and playing softball.

I have worked in the accounting field for more than 25 years. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 1993, and have worked in Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, Oregon and Montana for various companies. In addition to my fondness for travel, I like to garden, hike and camp, and am a certified bookworm. My family and I live in Eastern Oregon where we enjoy our horses, dogs, and the beauty of the mountains.
I was born and raised in Billings, Montana and lived there until I moved to Bozeman for college in 2016. I spent four and a half years completing my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting at Montana State University and have since acquired my CPA license. During my time in Bozeman, I gained experience by working part time at Wipfli, LLP as an accounting/payroll associate and I worked the seasonal months for a construction company as a civil engineer and an administrative assistant. Since graduating from MSU in November of 2020 I spent a year in Arizona exploring life outside of Montana. It did not take me long to realize that Montana was my home, so I moved back at the end of 2021. I now spend time in Billings with my family and in Great Falls with my boyfriend, all while working remotely full time. I spend my free time burning energy with my very busy dog, enjoying this beautiful state that I call home, and doing things that make my heart happy.
After finishing my masters in accounting at MSU Bozeman in 2012, I have worked as an accountant in several industries including hospitality, property management, manufacturing/retail, and software as a service. As an accountant, I see myself as a steward of an organization’s resources, and relaying information as straight forward as possible so that clients can make informed decisions. My focus as an outsourced controller is managing payroll and benefits, month end closing duties, and improved internal controls. In addition, I have prepared company financial reports and supporting information for tax accountants and external auditors. I prioritize consistency and gradual improvements, which are the key to building or improving any system. In my free time I read, garden, paint, write short stories, and enjoy walks around my small neighborhood. I normally read three books in rotation, with at least one for self-improvement and one fantasy or science fiction.
I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Montana and graduated from Bozeman High School before I briefly attended Montana State University, pursuing a degree in English Literature. It wasn’t long before I decided that school was not the route for me and moved to California for a brief stint. I have worked in multiple fields over the years, but the ones that I enjoy the most allow me to build long, lasting connections with both clients and co-workers. In my free time, I am most often found reading or writing a novel, enjoying a good hockey game, travelling, or helping out at my church.
I am originally from Helena, MT. I got my bachelor's degree from Montana State University and attended the University of Minnesota studying Industrial Relations. I have now been in the Gallatin Valley for over 20 years. I have worked in multiple industries with my focus and strengths being in accounting and human resources. I enjoy working with organizations and assisting them to become more efficient in their day-to-day operations while building a relationship built on trust and accountability. In my free time, my favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends. I also have a passion for hiking, traveling and reading a great book.

Montana Accounting Group is currently seeking an experienced (minimum 5 years) Tax Manager to join our team. We are a rapidly growing firm that is well established within Montana, providing you the opportunity to grow your career and client base in a comfortable team environment. A strong background in individual and entity tax return preparation is necessary. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the preparation and final review of individual and entity tax returns and helping younger associates grow their knowledge base in addition to managing many client relationships. Montana Accounting Group is currently seeking an experienced (minimum 5 years) Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist to join our Team. A strong accounting background is necessary. You will be working with many clients. Payroll responsibilities will include creating paychecks for employees, submitting payroll tax deposits, and preparing quarterly and annual payroll tax returns. Accounting responsibilities will include a/r, a/p, reconciliations, general ledger knowledge and journal entries. Financial statement experience is a plus. Compensation packages are market competitive and will be discussed upon the hiring process.
